that wasn't just a movie
Waking up to an explosion of thunder this morning..not starting out the day half bad. All things considered of course. *ding*
Tweaker and I watched the Matthew Shepard story on MTV tonight. It seems to me they glamorized his attack somewhat. For some reason it seemed to me that he was much more brutally beaten. Casting the ballsweatfuckers that did that in a hash light was just a waste, overkill. No one of sound mind would do something like that, it was pointless in making them seem like horrible people when in fact they were. I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't just a movie, this was STILL IS some peoples lives. I take living in San Fran MUCH too lightly. I can go to a gay club with Tweaker, drink, dance, party in the company of gay/bi-sexual/transgender people and not think twice about it. Other parts of the country aren't that lucky. After watching that movie I all I wanted to do was take Tweaker under my arm and hide her away from those with a fucked up sense thinking that gay bashing is alright. Lanie was honorable in giving her diary for observance of hate crimes. *bows head* Salute lady. Words play deep in the mind of a child. Remember, children mimic what is said while they are around. Choose your words carefully. Think before you speak. A childs eyes are innocent and pure. Don't be the one to taint their vision. Ave )O( Akira
